Renowned tennis analyst Gil Gross believes Novak Djokovic's retirement, which some have speculated about, is unlikely to happen in the next two or three years.

Djokovic secured a historic victory at this year's US Open when he beat Daniil Medvedev at the iconic Arthur Ashe Stadium to secure a 24th Grand Slam title, extending his record.

With the win, the Serbian became the player with the most majors in the Open Era, surpassing Serena Williams' previous record with 23. In doing so, he joined the esteemed ranks of Margaret Court, who also holds the record for the most Grand Slam singles trophies.

In response to a set of questions sent by tennis fans on the "Monday Match Analysis" podcast, Gross discussed Novak Djokovic's impending retirement. Gross reassured the man who asked about the retirement of the world No. 1 by firmly believing that the 36-year-old tennis player will not retire for the foreseeable future, at least not for the next two or three years.

"When you have someone like Carlos Alcaraz, Djokovic's retirement that you're hinting at doesn't look like it's coming in the next 2-3 years. It's not here now. He's still in control, so you have Novak at the top, and you also have Alcaraz at the top," the analyst replied.
